What does 3mm bleed mean?
Bleed is the extra artwork extending beyond the finished trim edge. For most standard Wright Print products, add 3mm to every edge. That adds 6mm to both the finished width and height. For example, finished A4 is 210 × 297mm, so artwork with 3mm bleed is 216 × 303mm.
Extend background colours and images into the bleed area, but keep important text and logos safely inside the finished trim edge.
Which paper size should I choose?
A6 is a compact choice for handouts, postcards and promotional flyers. A5 gives you more room while remaining easy to distribute. A4 is familiar for menus, information sheets and documents, while A3 to A0 are commonly used where greater visibility is needed, such as posters.
